CROCCS Project Kick-off Meeting Held

The consortium of the Croatian Competence Centre for Semiconductors (CROCCS) gathered on September 9, 2026, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb for the project’s kick-off meeting, marking the official start of joint work to strengthen Croatian competencies in semiconductor technologies and integrated circuit design
Uniting Expertise. Powering Croatia’s chip innovation.
The meeting brought together representatives from all six consortium members: the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), the project coordinator; Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek – Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT); University of Split – Faculty of Science (PMFST); the Ruđer Bošković Institute (IRB); the Institute of Physics; and KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute.
During the meeting, partners presented planned activities within each work package, aligned organizational and communication processes, and exchanged experiences and expectations for the upcoming implementation period. The meeting was also an opportunity to strengthen ties within the consortium and lay the groundwork for close collaboration in the years ahead.
CROCCS is part of the European Network of Chips Competence Centres (ENCCC), established under the European Chips Act, and is co-funded by the Chips Joint Undertaking and the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation.
